About Dave Edwards Racing

DER was founded from Dave’s lifelong passion for karting. His journey began working at the indoor circuit LKQC, where his love for the sport first took shape. From there, Dave moved into competitive karting, racing in Senior Open at the Stretton Circuit Sprint Series before transitioning to Senior TKM at Fulbeck Sprint Series and Stretton, achieving 2nd place in the Senior TKM Championship at Fulbeck in 2018.

After hanging up his own race helmet, Dave pursued his passion from the technical side — working as a mechanic, first with X-Kart before going freelance with several respected teams, including Jack Dex Racing, Mad Croc, Veloce Racing, Dean Jukes Racing, BSR, and Evolve Motorsport. This experience broadened his expertise across all Rotax and IAME classes.

DER officially began through Dave’s freelance work with Arthur Brownless, the first driver to join the team, competing at Kimbolton and Fulbeck. Soon after, Ollie Walker joined, and over the past 18 months, the team has grown from just two drivers to nine. The 2024 season ended on a high note, with Arthur securing 2nd place in the Fulbeck Sprint Series and Ollie finishing 4th in Junior Rotax.

At DER, every driver is equally valued — no one is above another. Our focus is on helping each driver reach their full potential, both on and off the track.

Looking ahead to 2026, the team will be competing at PFi Club, Kimbolton Club, Whilton Mill, and The Kart Championship.
